PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Ahmed Habib joined Leboulanger & Associés in 2011. His practice is focused on international dispute resolution and, in particular, on commercial and investment arbitration.
Ahmed has handled arbitration cases conducted under the auspices of several arbitration centres (notably the ICC, ICSID, CRCICA, DIAC, LCIA and PCA) as well as ad hoc arbitration cases conducted notably in accordance with the UNCITRAL Rules.
In his capacity as Counsel, he has represented Middle Eastern, European and African companies, States and State-owned companies in the course of arbitration proceedings subject to a variety of applicable laws (civil and common law legal systems), covering several jurisdictions and a wide range of disputes (such as sales, commodities, defence, energy, oil & gas, construction, hotel management, telecommunications, transport, aeronautics, industrial transfers, corporate, joint ventures, banking & finance, waste management).
Ahmed has conducted negotiations and acted as Counsel in post arbitration proceedings (setting aside and enforcement of arbitral awards). He also advises parties in drafting arbitration agreements.
He is regularly appointed Administrative Secretary to Arbitral Tribunals in institutional and ad hoc arbitration cases.
Prior to joining our law firm, Ahmed trained in international Paris and Cairo-based law firms as well as in the legal department of a major bank in Egypt.
